Hub4 and 1G

I have new HUB4 WITH 1G broadband but unfortunately on samknows real speed getting only around 450Mbps

HUB getting right speed 1071Mbps but computer more than half less.

On Ookla speed test result is completely different, download speed jumping up and down and is around 100Mbps.

What device?

Wireless is only as good as the worst device, either end of the connection.

There are LOTs of WiFi standards, each with a capable speed:

https://www.duckware.com/tech/wifi-in-the-us.html

Then you have to consider:

  • Distance from HUB.
  • Obstructions like walls.
  • Interference from other wireless networks.

You are very unlikely to get 1Gbps over wireless on one device.

I don't believe the HUB 4 uses the 160Mhz channel bandwidth (Limited to 80Mhz) to make the most of your wireless card.

If you access the HUB on http://192.168.0.1, log in, and check the 'Connected Devices' section what 'Speed (Mbps)' is next to your device?

You halve to two thirds that value to get the 'real world' speed.

So 400 - 600Mbps when at 866 and 200 - 300Mbps when at 432.

Only roughly mind you (I'm on M350 and even with a third party router my mobile connects at 433 and I get 200 - 250Mbps).

Limiting factor is the HUB in this instance.

Re: Hub4 and 1G

I understand but why on HUB3 and 500M I had speed on Ookla speed test roughly 500Mbps and never jumped up and down.
Now speed going up to 300 then down to 90 It was never happened before.
