Going from 200 to 350 sees no improvement.

We have been happy with our 200mbps service, regularly getting up to 240mbps.

Today we ‘upgraded’ to 350, and although ive seen a few spikes around 300 the average download speed seems more like 240-270mbps.

Not the big jump we were expecting. Nothing has changed during the upgrade process today, and this is on a wired connection. All have been rebooted.

Not that I’m complaining about the speed as such, just that it’s nowhere near the 350 it’s supposed to be, whereas the 200 was going over what it should be, so seems a better deal to me.

Post code is London SE1 if that makes a difference.

Perhaps the device your using to test isn't capable of going to 350?

Have you checked your WiFi settings via the hub, channel width should be set to 20/40/80

Re: Going from 200 to 350 sees no improvement.

Well its spiked a few times at 300, so If that was as fast as i could go it should be maxing out at 300 rather than around 270.

All the equipment is quite new and capable of handling this speed.

Ill give it a couple of days, maybe it needs settling in. Still a good speed though.

Thanks,

Well I’ve had spikes up to 37MB/s but these are only momentary, average speeds are mid 200’s.

Not sure why we bothered now.

Ipad, iPhone and PC. First two WiFi 5ghz and the PC wired using Cat6. Using Speedtest.net and iOS app Net analyser.

With the above i have had no issues with the 200 service since getting it. SH3 in hub mode (PC connected directly to it), and Modem mode connected to a Nighthawk R8000.
