Gigabit speeds AWFUL

We recently upgraded to Virgins Gigabit option, receiving the Superhub 4 with it. Upon being hyped for that speedtest, that hype was destroyed.
Going from the hub to a PC with a 2m cat6 cable the speeds are 150-250, this is with no other devices connected.
Wifi can sometimes break 400 if we are lucky, understandable that wifi will always be weaker.
Any ideas for the awful ethernet speed? Samknows.com/speedtest show that the hub is getting 1000+ but delivering no where near it.

Re: Gigabit speeds AWFUL

It’s an internal issue then if the speeds are getting delivered to the hub.

Re: Gigabit speeds AWFUL

I've used several cat6 ethernet cables including the one provided by VM, not sure what the limitation is...

Re: Gigabit speeds AWFUL

Have you tried all of the ports on the hub, and different ethernet cables?

What's the CPU usage like when running speed tests (Open task manager).

It sounds like there is an issue with the hub if SamKnows is getting full speed.

Re: Gigabit speeds AWFUL

Yup tried all ports with different wires,
doing the test on Microsoft edge it spikes to about 6% usage. I have a somewhat high end gaming PC.

EDIT: upload speeds are fine hitting 50-60 as expected

Re: Gigabit speeds AWFUL

That's fine, I was just checking as another poster had an older PC that was 100% usage when performing speed tests!

Could you please try:

Re: Gigabit speeds AWFUL

Are you wired direct to the hub or via a powerline extender or switch etc?
