Gig1 Speed

Hi there, 

Recently upgraded from the 350 MB package with a Hub 3 to Gig 1 with a Hub 4 which is in modem mode. 

Never had an issue with speed before, always got close or bang on the download and upload speeds advertised. 

Although it is still speedy enough for everything that gets thrown at it, the speeds from a variety of speed tests just don’t seem to get close to what they should be at and very noticeable now with upload speeds.

On 350 MB upload would always be at 35 MB - most recent test on Speedtest.net for upload was 20.4 MB so that’s even lower than when I was on the 350 MB package. 

It just seems to be like a downgrade rather than an upgrade - Not sure if it’s the connection/levels etc or even just not getting the same performance from the new Hub 4.

Will post the signal levels and logs very shortly. 

Appreciate any help that can be given, all equipment is gigabit compatible and tests were done via Ethernet rather than over WiFi.

Using the Hub 4 in either Router / Modem only mode makes little difference with the speeds.

I 'think' I may have cracked it... 

I had an additional splitter connected where the connection comes into the property (and have for years - never touched it until now) - thought I would test it and see what it was like should I remove this. 

So far so good to what I can tell, a lot snappier. 

I will drop over my details via DM if that's OK if you could just check and ensure that I have not made anything worse rather than better that would be much appreciated - Thank you.
