Gig 1 download speed has deteriorated recently

I upgraded to Gig 1 about a month ago, and initially all was well and I could download at around 950 meg. Over the past couple of weeks however, I have noticed that the download speed has reduced significantly to around 200-300 meg most of the time, with only short daytime bursts back up to around 800-900 meg.

I am using the hub 4 in modem mode connected to a Unifi USG 3P router and then off to a gigabit switch. I've tested the speed straight from the hub with similar results. I have reset all the devices, left the hub off for 10 minutes unplugged and so on, and none of it has helped. 

Below is my broadband speed, checked using speedtest.net every 15 minutes. This is being run on a Raspberry Pi 4, so I'd take anything over 700 as an indicator that I'm getting full speed.

The red bar around 11pm is from unplugging and restarting the router. The latency spikes correlate to the speed tests being done as above. 

My Broadband Ping - Virgin Media 1 Gig

There is a 10db wideband attenuator which was installed by the engineer along with the previous hub 3. This has not been removed as-yet.

If anyone can help I'd very much appreciate it.

Can you post a 'Live Link' to your BQM please.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

What speed do you get at >> Sam Knows Real Speed << with a direct connection using a Cat 5E/6 cable between the Hub in Router Mode and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Hi Mike,

I must admit I wasn't looking forward to messing with all the cables, but after setting it back to router mode and connecting it to a fast enough machine, I could see around 1040Mbps to the hub and 950Mbps or so to the PC, so it looks like the problem is on my side.

Do a quick line drawing of your setup and we will see if there are any conflicts that could be causing your problem.
