Hi,
Recently just upgraded from the 500 package that i had zero issues with through out the 18 month contract. Speeds were around 490-550 on a PC using ethernet to the HUB3. Since upgrading ive been sent the HUB5 to manage with new the new speeds and its all over the place.
It started off with 1150/950 on www.samknows.com/realspeed/ (Ookla is the same if not worse) but as the day goes on the speeds decline getting as low 250 while still registering the router as having 1150. On the odd occasions the hubs registered speed has been 750 but either way i dont know the cause. Resetting the hub, changing port, unplugging the ethernet cable or even changing it (ive tried cat 5e and 7) wont fix the speed issue. The only temporary fix has been to reboot the PC.
When downloading a game speeds are all over the place jumping about anywhere from 2MB/s to 90MB/s peak yet on the previous 500 package everything was consistent. Used to get as high 65-70MB/s.
First image is the lowest ive seen the speed drop to. Second is speed as the time of posting this message. Any help is appreciated. Would like to try get this sorted before the 14 days is up. Thanks

What is your PC doing in the background that is at various times using lots of bandwidth and / or burning lots of CPU ?
Check Add/Remove Programmes for recent software changes or installation like addition of new social media applications or changes the to antivirus / software firewall / safe browsing suite ?
Before performing a Realspeed test, check in the Task Manager and verify the CPU usage and Network connections are close to idle.

CPU usage is basically idle at 2% with networking being 0% when running a test. As previously stated i never had any issues for 18 months on 500 nore has any of my hardware changed so theres no excuse why this is happening and the only fix i know of to get my speeds back up is to reboot the PC. Its acting as if its a memory leak or something. Been looking through the community and im starting to see i am far from the only person having these issues and the only response they seem to be getting is "our hub looks fine, we will monitor".
As of this response speed has dropped to sub 500 from 722 when making the post 32m ago.

Reboot your PC into SAFE MODE + NETWORKING & then re-run the Realspeed test.
The download speed improvement of the PC can be surprising & if it is, the PC's hardware is good, but software need a review.

Ran the PC in safe mode + networking for the good part of the past 24 hours. Speeds didnt exceed 950 and the usual decline was still there. Download speeds on stuff such as steam are still all over the place. Peaking 70 at max and constantly fluctuating between 3 & 60 MB. No consistency what so ever. Internet actually dropped out twice fully for about 2 minutes which is new. Decided to plug the same cable into the PS5 with 890 on a test but when downloading a game i could see it was anything fluctuating anywhere from 3-100MB. At this point just wish i stuck with 500 fibre
