Frequent dropouts and regular poor speeds on wired connections

I currently seem to be getting 100's of dropouts every day and general poor speeds. Almost all devices are wired, so not WiFi related. When it works, it's fine and I get full speeds. Seems to be no pattern to the drop outs, it can be any time of day or night.

Any ideas?

Re: Frequent dropouts and regular poor speeds on wired connections

Can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you can post the link straight away.

Post a link to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

Then ...

You have a lot of Post RS Errors, can you reboot your Hub and keep on eye on the error counts over the next couple of days.

Yes, I'm setting up the monitor now.

The hub 3.0 was restarted about 12 hours ago.

Re: Frequent dropouts and regular poor speeds on wired connections

Can you do another reboot on the Hub to see if the Post RS Error counts clear; then post the second part of the Downstream stats in a couple of hours
