Frequent drop outs even after upgrade to Gig1

I've had problems with my line since May and every time I have tried to contact VM, given up with the length of the wait on chat/calls.

Frequent dropouts on video calls, gaming and often seeing speeds of 3Mb download begging for a reset of the SH.

Enough was enough and at the beginning of the year, I decided to call up and wait it out. 2.5 hours later!!! I upgraded to Gig1 and got an Ofcom trace put on my line. This meant upgrading to the SH4 (£35)

On an average day, I get 3-400 Mb download but still see this drop-down to just a few Mb at times.

My upload never goes above 40Mb so there is no limitation on throughput in my network.

Reading this forum, it seems the QAM on my upload channels are not in-line with spec and my SNR whilst GOOD, could improve?

One of your upload stats is at 16 QAM when it should be 64 QAM. Have you tired a reboot of the router to see if this re-syncs a better connection?

Yeah mate, you will need to get onto VM and get an engineer booked to put right. Best ringing them after 8am to get through quicker and get this arranged or you can wait here until someone from VM contacts you which may take 5-7 days sometimes longer.

I held the reset button for 60 seconds a number of times and eventually got all upload streams to become 64QAM

What speed do you get now on https://speedtest.samknows.com/ with direct wired connection from PC to router using a Cat 5e cable or better with a 1Gbps Ethernet capable network card?
