Faulty router?

Over the last few weeks my broadband speed (wired connection) has been very unstable, I am on 200mbps package but my speeds over the last 24 hours have registered between 0.13 to 220 on speedtest.net, the engineer who was very helpful visited yesterday and he reset the router, changed the coax cable and one other thing i can't remember and my speeds were back up to 200+ but after an hour or two the problem was back.  He did say he would give me a call today and if the problem was still ongoing he would recommend a new router but he didn't call.  I have run all the checks and have even reset my router via the pin which helps temporarily for about an hour before it becomes unstable again which is why I am asking whether it could be the router.  Could you please check again from your end if there are any problems?

I forgot to add, when i run the speed test there's an initial burst up to 160-200 and then a slow decline back down to under 100 on the download speed.  The ping is between 7-8 and the upload is between 10-12 both rather consistent but the download speeds are all over the place.
