Failed Guaranteed Speed

I have M350 broadband with guarantee of 180Mb.  This has been installed for 1 month but I very rarely get above 180Mb.  I have tried restarting and checking all the cables many times.

How do I ensure I get my minimum guarantee speed or compensation as I am unable to contact Virgin media.

Re: Failed Guaranteed Speed

How are you speed testing?

You need to Speedtest with a gigabit-enabled device using a CAT5e/6/7 cable wired directly to the hub.

Wifi speeds are not guaranteed.

Re: Failed Guaranteed Speed

Hi,

I am using speediest.net via a pc and cat5 cable.

My contract states I have a minimum guaranteed speed of 180Mb or I will be compensated

Re: Failed Guaranteed Speed

CAT5 cables max out at 100Mbps.

Cat5e (or Cat6 or Cat7) max out at 1GBps.

Re: Failed Guaranteed Speed

What speed are you getting?

Do the speedtest on speedtest.net then share the test result link back here please.
