Recently upgraded from m200 to m500. I was expecting quicker speeds. Unfortunately i am receiving wifi speeds less than 70mbps , which is quite shocking.
Have done a few tests via speed test , average speeds are 48mbps I would appreciate help.
Were your Wifi speeds higher with 200Mbps?
Could you access your router using http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.100.1 for modem mode . Don't log in, select the 'Check Router Status' option and paste your 'Downstream', 'Upstream', and 'Network Log' tabs?
Yes, the speeds were much higher with 200Mpbs.
I had an engineer visit the premises and he told me virgin aren't providing m500 in my area, even though i was upgraded to m500.
As requested please find info below:
Downstream bonded channels
Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) SNR (dB) Modulation Channel ID
Upstream bonded channels
Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) Symbol Rate (ksps) Modulation Channel ID
Channel Channel Type T1 Timeouts T2 Timeouts T3 Timeouts T4 Timeouts
If the engineer said VM aren't providing 500Mbps in your area you need to check with VM why you were upgraded.
Could you confirm what speeds you achieve on a wired connection?
