Declining Speeds. 200mbps down to 80 or 90mbps

Hi all,

I have searched the forum and seen similar issues. For a while now i have 'suffered' reduced performance of my fibre connection. I used to enjoy 212mbps down on the Ethernet cable to my computer. However, for a few months it has decreased slowly but surely to 80 or 90mbps. Before it gets any slower, help... what's happening?

I've followed advice of other posts trying to add the router status, I can't post though due to character limits. I've included the network log here though.

Re: Declining Speeds. 200mbps down to 80 or 90mbps

Hello Phil

First of turn off your hub and wait 30 secs then turn it back on once the light has stabilized check your speeds again.

If you experience low speeds go round and check that all connections to VM kit is hand tight.

Still the same issue then do the following :-

Can you please post your network stats from the hub
Open a Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and enter the address http://192.168.0.1
Note: If you have enabled Modem Mode on your Hub 3.0 you will need to use 192.168.100.1 instead.
Do not login but click on where it says "Check Router Stats" and then copy and post from the following 4 tabs, Downstream, Upstream, Configuration and Network logs and we can check your power level.
Also please run "Check service status" at the top right of this forum.

Hi Phil

With regard to character limits, you could try posting each tab of the router status on separate posts, or capture screenshots and post them instead.

There are some concerning errors in the logs and it would be nice to see the downstream and upstream channel figures from the router status screen to see if they show anything that could indicate the cause of the errors.
