Can I get Gig1 early

I am fed up of waiting for decent upload. Last week my area finally deployed M600. So I would guess years before Gig1.

 

I have seen suggestions that it is possible to get an early deployment. Is it? How do I get It?

 

Any chance we would ever see 10:1 download upload ratios?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, you can't get early deployment because it's all driven by a roll out of DOCSIS 3.1 technology, area by area.  On the plus side, the roll out is supposed to be complete this year "by 2021", against that I have to say that for any normal use you'll be pushed to see any real world difference between 1 Gbps and 500/600 Mbps.
