Broadband - speed

Hi I've just had 1gb installed , the  tech said use sam knows to check speeds  , when I use it , it says 1150 to router but only 350 to pc ? Is that right aren't I mean to get 1150 to pc? Thanks

What type of device?

Have you tried various speed test sites?

Hi no I just tried what the tech said ,      just seem strange I get 1150 to router but only 350ish to pc  , and its all hard wired

It could be a limitation of the device or some software (Anti-virus) limiting the speed.

Is there anything I can do ?  Get better Etherley cable ect

Try rebooting in safe mode (with networking) and try another test to rule out software being the issue:

Hi in safe mode it's 900 plus ,   so 3 x faster
