Broadband speed

Hi,  my package is 100mbps,  I did a Speed Test and it is showing as follows: download 14.56 mbps - package says minimum is 54 mbps.  Upload is 2.45mbps.

There are days it is taking a long time to download, any advice welcome.   Have just read that if working from home and connected to VPN which I am this will effect speeds at peak times?

Re: Broadband speed

There's a range of ways that a VPN can affect speed, and particularly if you're measuring speed from the machine that's connected by the VPN, that's usually going to be a lot slower than your broadband.  If you're connecting over wifi as well, then that may be part of the speed issue as well.

If you want to test your broadband speed, disconnect the VPN, then measure speed using a machine connected to the hub by an ethernet cable.
