Broadband speed

I am on the 100M package and am getting only around 27 MB download speeds. This is every day, not intermittent. Given how much I am paying, upgraded at VM's recommendation. Unacceptable, and should be sorted out asap. Either that or a refund, please.

How are you Speedtesting and with what device?

Are you using a wired or wireless connection?

I used half a dozen online speed tests, and they all give a similar result. I'm using WiFi, with speed booster between floors (2-storey house). Speed is the same whether next to the router, or in the loft, ie much slower than it should be. I ran Virgin's own speed check, and the result found no issues. So obviously 25% of the promised speed is acceptable. Did someone say 'rip-off'?

WiFi speeds are not guaranteed or form any part of a speed promise.

You need to test with a wired connection direct to the hub. 

Going via a “booster” is also not a good idea
