Broadband speed varies through house

Query: can you run a second cable from box outside house directly into an upstairs room in order to improve broadband speeds, without the need for 2nd router or subscription?  We have great broadband speed downstairs & have an Eero mesh system installed, however, the speeds are not reaching certain areas of the house. It can be as low as 0.5 mbps. We have rebooted, moved mesh receivers etc to no avail. I get that we have an older house with thicker walls, however, this is the 21st century - surely we should not be plagued by these problems???

You don't need a second virgin cable, you can either try powerline which has mixed results to be honest, or just get someone to run some ethernet cable between the rooms and install some sockets. Mesh devices with a wired backhaul like this is the best setup.
