Broadband speed has gone slow

My broadband speed has gone really slow . A speed check gives a download speed of 130 mb per second when it should be 200. Many many websites are crashing out including virgin media’s own. My computer is in top condition. Is this due to the current situation causing limited staff at Virgin and many people working from home

Welcome to our Community Forum and thank sorry to hear that you're experiencing slow speeds. I've taken a look at your network details and cannot find any errors or issues. Are you able to give us more information such as whether it's when playing games or streaming or whether it's happening on different devices? Please give us more information so it can help us.

I speed tested it again yesterday and it’s gone back up to 200 mb per second from 130 so I’m just monitoring it for now

Hi

Just tested again back down to 113 mb per second. It appears to be slow in the daytime and better at evening

Speed test this morning at 98 mb per second . That is just short of half of what I’m paying for. My neighbour is having similar problems as a virgin broadband customer

Hello Fozz43

Thanks for your post 

I have had a look at the local area and we have no reports of anything that may be causing this to happen as of yet. 

As you have advised its happening to both you and your neighbour. It may well be a bit of noise on the network

I can see you have recently rebooted the Hub and all the power levels are fine from here.

Can you keep an eye on this and let us know if it doesn't improve 

If is is an area fault you can keep updated by checking here

Good news tonight internet speed back up to 200 mb per second at 1900 hrs tonight. It seems to be up and down hope it lasts
