Bizzare Broadband Bandwidth Tests

I've been seeing issues with my connection this morning so thought I'd run some speed tests. The two attached screenshots were tests run on my 100Mbps connection. First shows 1.77Gbps, Second 1.75Mbps.

How is this even possible?

Just incase you were going to say something like caching, the fast test was the first one, nearly an hour before the second. At time I was the only one using the connection and I wasn't doing anything else.

Re: Bizzare Broadband Bandwidth Tests

The images haven't been approved yet so I don't know which test you're using but those results shouldn't be trusted. Are you using the Hub 3?  1.7Gbps simply isn't possible over 24 downstream channels.

Re: Bizzare Broadband Bandwidth Tests

Hi,

I was using the cloudflare test site, however I seem to get different results on every speedtest site. Do you have a recommendation on which to use for most accurate results?

I have a superhub 2.

Thanks.

Re: Bizzare Broadband Bandwidth Tests

Hub 2's maximum is only 400Mbps (8 downstream channels) so the 1.7Gbps can definitely be ruled out!

I would try a variety of speed tests such as

www.speedtest.net

www.nperf.com

www.fast.com

The results may differ slightly but hopefully you will get a more correct idea of the speed you're reaching.
