Bad ping and slow speeds over last week or so

Hi folks. Apologies if this appears twice; my first attempt doesn't seem to have gotten through (I didn't see anything about new threads being moderated so I assume this is a hiccup?)

Anyway, I'm on a 100MB package. Recently (in the last week or so) I've been having all kinds of problems with high pings in games (200ms+) as well as very slow speeds both down and up, never getting more than into the 30MB down and 0.5MB up (formerly was getting into the 50-60MB down at least).

I have tried all the standard advice on the help pages to no avail. I've run the line test and there are no known issues in my area according to the Service Status page.

Is there anyone who could take a look at the info in my logs to see if there's anything obviously wrong here?

Have you checked the 'Check Service Status' at the top of the page ?

If nothing is showing try phoning 0800 561 0061, this will tell you of more local issues that may be affecting your district. Be aware that it isn't a manned line.

Hi Mike. Thanks, yeah, I've checked the Service Status. And after your post I rang the number and went through the process and was advised there are no issues in my area.

Your >> BQM << says there are issues in your locale. Mine (bottom of post) is what it should be like.

You need to contact VM.

You can either phone in (08:00 is the best time) or wait on here for a few days (6 to 7 days average) until one of the VM Forum Staff comes along.

If you wait on here Do Not bump the thread it will put it further down the VM 'to do list'.

Understood; thank you. If I were to ring VM, is there anything in particular I would need to advise them?

Indeed, is there any particular path I should take through the phone menus to get to the right department to discuss this kind of issue?
