50 mb is very slow

Hello Everyone.

 

I recently changed my service and dropped down to just the broadband package on the 50MB service.  Initially it was fine, but just before Christmas the speeds dropped dramatically from a typical 35-40MB's to 7-8MB's.

I have followed the on-line diagnostics from Virgin (resetting the HUB 3 etc) but nothing makes any difference and I am now convinced that this is an infrastructure issue, not my hub etc  It is impossable to get through to customer service at present so any help from these esteemed pages would be gratefully received
