45Mbps on M100 Fibre Broadband

Hey, I've been getting roughly these results consistently:

 PING ms
8
 DOWNLOAD Mbps
45.57
 UPLOAD Mbps
9.76

This has been for a few weeks now which is quite a bit lower than what I'd expect, even during these times. I'm on M100 fibre, running in Modem mode using an RT-AC68U as the router. I'm connected to that by a wire.

Would someone be able to take a look at my settings and see if they can spot another odd please? Getting through to anyone on live chat is pretty tough at the moment.

Re: 45Mbps on M100 Fibre Broadband

@LBM

That's a cable fault, bad connection/joint or damaged cable somewhere between your Hub and the street cabinet. Check that all of the connections you can get to, including those in the box on the outside wall, are finger tight with no obvious damage. Failing that, you'll need an engineer visit to fix.

Downstream power levels are OK, low S/N ratio on the lowest frequency channels and corresponding excessive errors on those channels. Upstream power has hit it's upper limit in an attempt to compensate. I'd hazard a guess that if you check the modems log, you'll see a lot of Ranging Response timeouts (T3)

Re: 45Mbps on M100 Fibre Broadband

Hey thanks for the reply. I've checked as much as I can see and it all seems okay. It may just be coincidence but about 4 weeks ago City Fibre was installed in our area, our path was one of those that was dug up.

Is this the outside wall box for virgin? I couldn't spot any other box, but I can't see where the cables go from this box either.

thumbnail_IMG_20200425_114647.jpgThere's a few old cables down here from previous internet providers but this seems nice and tight.
