350meg Really!!!!!!

350meg package, i have not posted for a while as was sick and tired of non stop issues, getting 3-9 meg down now and the ping is terrible, cant do anything. Yes i know people are home because of the old rony virus but thats what we pay for, to be able to receive our services.

This is a wired connection

checked the service but as usual says there are no issues.

Could you access your router using http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.100.1 for modem mode . You shouldn't need log in, select the 'Check Router Status' option and paste your 'Downstream', 'Upstream', and 'Network Log' tabs? Please copy/paste this data as text, split between multiple posts (Sometimes you have to click 'Post' twice due to an error message).

Could you please create a BQM (Broadband Quality Monitor) here, and post the live link?

Re: 350meg Really!!!!!!

You HUB stats look ok.

The BQM, however, may show an issue, so worth getting one setup.

Re: 350meg Really!!!!!!

yes i have set up the BQM, i am getting 33meg upload speed, but between 2 and 11meg download. my issue is i have suffered this constant issue since the day i was a blueyonder customer back in the day.  The lag spikes are getting really annoying again. i got to the point where i could not be bothered with constantly phoning in every single week to moan and complain about the state of the broadband

Over subscribing a service should be made illegal, how virgin can keep getting away with it i dont know. I understand there is a new router, the hub 4. i understand that it fixes the lag spike issue, yes i know the say the hub 3 issues was finally patched but it did not fix the problem.

When your only lifeline is the internet because you are disabled and cannot leave the house, it needs sorting out.  I know its not your fault and we are in a so called pandemic, but this has been going on for many years.

Re: 350meg Really!!!!!!

The BQM (broadband quality monitor) looks like this

My Broadband Ping - Router Mode

It does not show speeds, it is a graph that shows latency and packet loss

If you have set one up then post us a link to it

Upstream bonded channels
Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) Symbol Rate (ksps) Modulation Channel ID
1 46200017 44 5120 64 qam 11
2 39400019 44 5120 64 qam 12
3 53700024 45.5 5120 64 qam 10
4 60300004 45.5 5120 64 qam 9

The Upstream dBmV seem to be high, they should be nearer 40dBmV

Re: 350meg Really!!!!!!

Images have to be checked before a showing, they won't show if you have personal information in the Image

Yes we can see it from your link, it will take time to populate to show what's happening
