250MB but only getting less than 100MB

I’ve been emailed about the upgrades and been upgraded to 250 but only getting up to 100MB on the speed test. I’ve tried restarting router, checking connections etc.

Can anyone help?

Have you tried a wired device?

Wireless speed is not guaranteed, well up to 20Mbps depending on the package you are on.

Carl is right - but if that is wired - try a new Cat6a ethernet cable first and chech that th Network card hasnt defaulted to 100Mbps - set it to 1GB.

And also on wifi you will never get full speeds unless you force the connection onto the 5GHz frequency band. On the 2.4GHz band it will always be much lower - 100 would be good - I usually get 40-80 on my 2.4 band
