1Gig Upgrade isn't really an upgrade.

Hi folks,

I hope you're all well!

I recently upgraded to the new Gig1 WiFi, and have not been receiving the 1gig speeds. Instead, I am receiving worse speeds than when I had 500mbps. I have obviously changed the hub, and cables.

I have done multiple speed tests, both wired and wireless, and I have done the SamKnows test, which is showing as 1gig speeds.

This would suggest an issue with the router or cables somewhere, but I have replaced the cable 3 times now, and the speeds aren't changing.

It feels a bit like robbery when we are paying more for a worse service.

Re: 1Gig Upgrade isn't really an upgrade.

The speed is the speed delivered to the hub, not the speed your devices are capable of achieving.

You'll never get 1GB over standard AC WiFi protocols.

What speed do you get wired direct to the hub with a gigabit enabled device (not a console).
