100mbps connection down to 30-40mbps sometimes even 10

For the last couple of weeks my internet has been quite bad. I've had consistently low speeds for my connection and sudden packet loss and high latency spikes. I've tried multiple fixes online with no success. I'm using wired connection for my main machine, and have restarted/reset my router with little success for consisent improvement. I'm also experiencing this through multiple devices and OS's so it's not my computers/phones problem either.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Can you Login to the Hub Settings and navigate to the Connected Devices page - what does it report the 'connection speed’ as for the cable connected device you used for the speed test ?

you have low SNR on some channels. you'll need an engineer to look at that

@MikeRobbo :126.58 Mbps for my main device

@apcyberax: Would virgin be able to organise it from this thread or would I need to phone them considering we're about to enter lockdown again?

You can either phone in (08:00 is the best time) or wait on here for a few days (6 to 7 days average) until one of the VM Forum Staff comes along.

If you wait on here Do Not bump the thread it will put it further down the VM 'to do list'.

Is anyone from VM going to answer to this thread?? My internet got super bad last week, where it was cutting off constantly and I called the support team who confirmed straight away that I'll need an engineer, which was booked. Then couple of days later I got a text that VM are doing a fix on the street, and cancel the engineer visit, which went on, my internet got better for couple of days and it is now acting up again with high latency/slow speeds and cut offs...

I'm working from home & using the internet for recreational uses so I absolutely cannot continue going on with this shabby connection as I can't properly do zoom calls or do online gaming anymore...
