Caution is the correct action and it is good to read when you felt uncomfortable you choose to end the call.

It is rare that a scam would occur when you initiate the call (unprompted) to an organisation's published number. Regrettably Virgin Media do ask questions that recent public campaigns have warned us all against giving out, i.e. any bank information. I have flagged your post to the forum team so they can reassure you with regard to the information being asked for — they should hopefully respond here in a few hours.

Hi cphaque

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

I can confirm this would be legit if you're calling us to do a package change.

Kind regards,
