scam phonecall

I have received about 8 phone calls today from a number coming up as no caller ID.  Each time it has been an a person with an eastern accent telling me my internet is going to be cut off as someone is trying to access a device to scam my bank details and personal information.  They wanted me to turn my computer on and allow remote access so they can show me where the weak link is and sort it our for me.  When I refused the man shouted 'just do it and press the button' I told him not to shout at me and that I didn't believe he worked for virgin media so he hung up on me.  It didn't stop someone else calling again.

Has anyone else had something similar today or recently?

Re: scam phonecall

These calls are commonplace.  Expect to get more from them.  You took the right course of action.
