phishing

i had my email hacked on Saturday 4th March. It was abusive and threatening demanding money.

It would not let me send it to virgin. I phoned and the lady who answered was useless. She did not know what tod do. Eventually after over 20mins we were cut off. I called again and a man eventually said all he could do was make a not and some would call in 2 days. No call received. Call virgin Tuesday and told it would be passed to a manager and I would be contacted in 3 to 5 working days. It is now Thursday 16th March and nothing from Virgin.

I am 79 years and would like help.

My main concern was the the email contained my password which is only used to conect to my virgin email. this was the first thing I changed. I got emails from Uber with a code to join. also from Linkedin. Whoever it is is desperate to log onto my Facebook account.

Luckily I am no longer tied to Virgin Media so I can change my whole packet to another tv etc provider who i hope have consideration to its customers. I have been with the company it took over from.

Re: phishing

Hi mo2,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you've had an issue with your email account being hacked.

Whilst we appreciate it can be scary and frustrating, ultimately there isn't a lot we can do. You can find information on any steps you should take here

In terms of forwarding anything to us, if you've had an error then this will mean we've already flagged it as spam so you can just delete and block the sender.

Please keep us posted on how you get on and if you need any further help, you now where we are.

Thanks,
