.eu scam emails - has my data been breached?

Over the past couple of weeks, I have started getting a lot of scam emails from different '.eu' domains.

I've had scam emails in the past but not from .eu sites.

I've not been told by VM that my data was amongst that in the recent breach but this increase in scam emails makes me suspicious.

Virgin Media doesn't make life easy as it stops me forwarding most of them to the government phishing team and even VM itself because they '..contain spam content' - even though VM is quite happy to let them through to me - ggrrrr!!

If they can't be forwarded this means we're already aware of them and they're listed as such on our systems.

Thanks, Emily.

Re: .eu scam emails - has my data been breached?

So why do you let them through to me in the first place?
And why don't you let me forward them to the government team so they can close them down?

We'd already have raised this to them.

Thanks, Emily.

When you received the email is was misidentified as not spam,  between then and your attempt to forward it the matching data used by the spam filter has been update to correct identify it as spam.

Re: .eu scam emails - has my data been breached?

I've received 6 in the past week and forwarded some as soon as they arrived, so seems unlikely

Re: .eu scam emails - has my data been breached?

I have received 2 of these, every day since Sunday, all from the '.eu' addresses

Reported them all to VM, and the  'phishing@virginmedia.com' has accepted them all as spam....(including 2 this morning, sent 5 mins ago!!)

Assume that VM are still 'looking into this', and as such we will continue to receive this stuff for the forseeable future...

Thought they were 'supposed' to be 'sorting it'
