Websafe is turned of but still blocking websites

Hi there,

The Websafe is turned off but still blocking sites. I tried turning on-off again but the webpage doesn't seem to be working. Keeps giving an error "can't change your settings this time".

Help please 🙂

Re: Websafe is turned of but still blocking websites

Hi NetWizard,

A warm welcome and thanks for posting on our community forums. Sorry, that you're currently experiencing issues with our websafe function.

Can we ask if the websafe is blocking access on all sites you're trying to access or a certain few?

As you last posted on Tuesday, have you been able to turn your websafe function on/off in this time or do you still have the same message?

Please come back to us if the issue persists. We can assist you further with this issue.

Kind regards Jodi.

Re: Websafe is turned of but still blocking websites

Hey Jodi,

Thanks for the prompt reply. It only blocks the categories that are covered by WebSafe, I can still connect to most of the sites.

Unfortunately, the websafe settings page is still broken. There seems to be a new design on some of the pages across 'My Virgin Media' and I'm guessing there might be a migration problem on the server-side as the pages with the new design don't respond properly.

Re: Websafe is turned of but still blocking websites

Hi

I am also having the same issue the websafe settings page is broken. Doesn't allow to switch on and off and gives error.., and there is no myApp menu as well to go there.

There seems to be a new design on some of the pages across 'My Virgin Media' and I'm guessing there might be a migration problem on the server-side as the pages with the new design don't respond properly.

Please can someone help me out, how to switch the web safe off.

Re: Websafe is turned of but still blocking websites

Hello sadsal,

Thank you for reaching out to us here, welcome to the community.

Please accept our apologies for the difficulties you are having with turning websafe off.

I would like to take a look at this for you and see what I can do to help.

In order to do so I will need a little bit more detail so I will send you a private message.

If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great.
Regards

Re: Websafe is turned of but still blocking websites

Hello sadsal.

Thanks for those details.

I have manually turned off websafe from here.

Can you please check to see if any websites that were blocked are now visible?
