Virgin have notified that I have malware. How can I deal with this?

Follow the advice here: Malware Alerts | Virgin Media Help?

FYI if they mentioned the malware name then lookup which operating systems it affects and scan those devices within your home network, i.e. if it affects Windows then only scan devices running Windows.

Wait for the forum team to read your post and:

  • confirm authenticity of notification
  • look to see if they can determine the malware name
