Very sophisticated email apparently from Royal Mail

I would like to make people aware of new very sophisticated emails.  The one I got today was from the following address - Royal Mail <delivery280200.834236254@royalmail.com>, and said I had a missed Royla Mail delivery.

I went on the Royal Mail tracking site, and the parcel reference given was invalid.  The other clue was the link to reschedule the delivery looked to be going somewhere suspicious -

Reschedule delivery NOW <http://osymar.co.uk/hubs/?8b00f1f9d8720c48a3cbecbf835e098a>

It looks like the scammers are now managing to mimic official company email addresses!

I would like to know how they are able to do this!

Re: Very sophisticated email apparently from Royal Mail

Hello

There are a lot of tools to mimic the from email address, one that can be used is the sendmail application which is available in Linux / MAC based systems.

The best people to inform on this phishing attempt would be royalmail.
