Last week I was unable to receive emails. Weirdly I could receive them on my original iPad but not the new one although at first they were being received on both.
I rang Virgin who investigated and corrected the issue only for me to find a few minutes later they were not being received again! At this time I changed my password.
I have now had a letter from Virgin stating that my account has been locked due to security systems detecting suspicious activity.
However, I am still able to receive emails on my original iPad! I am advised to run anti-virus scans - how do I do this?
I am at a total loss as to what to do. Any help would be appreciated,ease.

While apple products are less likely to get malware, I'm there are ways to scan them, or at least do a factory reset. If you have any further questions, please let us know! Best wishes to you.
