Hi
I've received an email saying my new bill is ready and Virgin will take £95 out of my account on the 9th January. Trouble is I don't have any Virgin Media services. All the links in the email take me to the legit VM website, there are no spelling mistakes or any tell-tale signs of it being a dodgy/scam email.
I've combed the VM website for over an hour and have concluded that it is not possible to email them in any way. I've clicked on just about everything and have gotten nowhere.
Has anyone received anything similar, or does anyone have any advice?
Thanks

These emails are getting better. Chat AI's can now generate them without the usual poor grammar and spelling mistakes freely on the internet. You have effectively answered you own question as to whether the email is fake or not by stating you don't have VM services, so it's obviously fake. Just delete it if you already haven't; or if you still have it and wish to report it, follow the instructions on the link below:

Check with your bank to see if any direct debit has been set up or not.
Chances are it is a scam email intending to gather your email, password & bank details. It may also be a legitimate email which has been mis-sent to your email address due to a spelling error & is intended for a customer with a similar address. Or more worryingly someone has used your email & bank details to set up a VM account without your knowledge.
If there’s no DD set up then most likely it is a scam. If there is then have your bank cancel the DD immediately.

One of the reasons I'm leaning towards it being legit is I'm also in discussions with another big name company. They're chasing me for money and I've never ever had an account with them, or any other company in that particular field of business. Turns out someone created that account with my details somehow.
So if this VM account is real, and someone has stolen my identity say, then I find it quite disheartening that I can in no way contact Virgin to sort this out without creating an account or spending hours waiting in a telephone queue.
