Text Message - Fibre Switch over

Hi, it's Virgin Media. A reminder that on 28th June 2023 your home phone service will be switched to our fibre network. We'll send you an adapter(s) so you can connect your home phone to the Virgin Media Hub. Reply with ACCEPT to be switched over or with CALLBACK if you need help.

Received the above message from +44 7828 563699, with no validating account details. Google search flags this number as Scam. Is this actually a virgin message please?

Hi Foxymam4, thank you for joining our help forums and for your first post.
A warm welcome to the VM community. 🙂

We're sorry to hear you've received what you believe to be suspicious communication, of course checking with us is the best thing to do if you wish to make sure.

We're glad to best advise and help you with this.

Please, kindly visit our page here where you may find all our info and details on the landline migration process called Home Phone Switchover.

You will also view all our answers to all FAQs there, let us know if you have any questions or concerns on this.

We can confirm we do send written communications in regard to this change if it's due in your area, as it will change the way your landline works and we need your response and/or consent.

The information on the above message are all legit, you may safely respond to accept or request a call back to discuss this further with our dedicated team.

Since you've reached out to the forum now, we'd be more than happy to have a look into the account for you if you prefer and help with arranging this migration instead of following the SMS process.

Let us know how you wish to proceed, thank you.
