Thanks for this post.
I was about to post similar as I have just received a spam although slightly different in content to reinstate my Direct Debit for TV Licencing.
All I wish to do and I believe what you have tried to do is to make people aware of this fraud, especially the elderly of whom would worry about such an email believing it to be true.
Agree the politics should be aired in its correct arena.

Just got one today and one yesterday.  Forwarded to phishing@viginmedia.com

Got automated reply so seems to have went through ok. I use a standalone email client (Thunderbird) but if you use Webmail and it gets rejected then check your spam settings inside there.

Worth pointing out that the Virgin media phishing address is only intended for reporting VM related phishing attempts.
