Suspicious email

So this morning at 1.01am I had a very convincing email saying my payment wouldn’t go though due to my details not being correct when looking at it I noticed it directed u to an different address not virgin media luckily o didn’t fill anything out as it didn’t feel right to me and looking at my account no messages 🤔 from the research I’ve done I’m guessing it’s a scam😔 how they they do this with what’s going on at the minute

Miscreants adapt their tactics to whatever environment factors offer them the best chance of success; so rather than pause it is likely their activities will increase.

Forward the email to phishing@virginmedia.com and delete it; should you see a Spam Content warning when sending then Virgin Media are aware of it now and blocking it.
