Received a call today from 03454541111 saying they are from virgin complaints team.i had no reason to doubt that as I had indeed made a complaint 2 weeks ago online regarding the difficulty getting through to someone on the phone or online chat to discuss my contract(absolute nightmare!!).
The caller was very difficult to understand no matter how hard i tried.He asked for the 3 digits from my password(password has 6). I gave them to him and he said incorrect. He then asked for different digits. I refused to give them as then I would have given him the entire password! I then ended the call.
100% suspicious & you were wise to not give the three characters asked for. Seems these scammers have see the advertisement warning of the same scam of asking for two numbers from a PIN then stating they’re wrong so asking for the other two numbers & used it for their own.
