Received a phone call from a mobile number the other night to my partners phone (first weird point, don’t think his number is attached to our account) and the man on the phone asked for me.
Basically he knew we had removed services from our package and asked what we were going to pay going forward. He said he could do us a better deal by adding the phone line back on and asked my name and my postcode to confirm it was me to do so. No other details asked for and he obviously had my name anyway as he had asked my partner for it. Before giving him the information I asked him why he was calling from a mobile and he told me he was working from home and they were using that resource.
He then said that I’d get an email in the next 24 to 48 hours confirming the change which I haven’t received yet.
Do you think this is something to be concerned about? Haven’t given any financial details at all so not sure of the scam if it is one.
