I have had several phone calls recently from people claiming to be from VM who had a scary amount of information. They were able to tell me my email address, first line of my address and my disconnection date. They also knew who my mobile provider was. I only started getting these calls once I had cancelled my VM service which suggests to be there has been a data breach somewhere. If there is someone I need to get more info to or from, please let me know. And fellow users - beware!

Callers claiming to be from VM and saying they have detected 'problems with your router', 'hackers using your home network' etc. etc. are always scams.

What are the calls claiming to be about?

Claiming they could offer a deal for me to stay. The thing that makes me think it was a scam was that he handed out my information rather than doing any security questions with me. As well as the fact that it was a mobile number, not their central phone line. Whenever I’ve had communication from VM it’s been by email from the company, not an individual or from their customer service number.
