Scam or not a scam

I got a message fro CYBG saying my bill could not be payed , I googled CYBG and it says its virgin media , is it a scam ?

CYBG is nothing to do with Virgin Media.  The initials relate to the Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks  who joined up with Virgin Money UK.

The two entities are entirely separate.
