Scam call from VM.

OK, foreign male voice, from 'VM tech dept' apparently. Said I had internet problems, and he needed to check my internet connection.

Number was removed when checked with 'who called me' gives the following information.

removed is a landline number operated by Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd

removed has been identified as a broadband scam, located in Shrewsbury (UK)

Unsolicited call, from someone impersonating VM, so have reported to the ICO. 

Don't suppose VM are interested, but thought I'd post anyway, as this is not a 'spoofed' number, but a dedicated 'scam' line

The calls will have originated from India via a VoIP path. The numbers are cloned & could belong to anybody. As such I ask the mods to remove them as they could be a customers personal information.

Reporting these will only add to figures. Our aged PSTN system is the loophole that cannot be closed at the moment. When we are all moved to VoIP it will be a different matter.
