SMS "your Virgin kit will arrive..." - Genuine?

I had this msg yesterday, it displays vm as sender and I have had other texts telling me of routine maintenance in area, last one I had I went into office to work and bb never went off at home so thinking maybe my number is on someone else's account

Sorry to hear of any concern the text messages, you received may have caused.  As it's not guaranteed that your services will go off, when there's planned maintenance, there is a good chance that the message was intended for you.  Have you chosen to register for text message notifications?  If so, do you wish to continue with them? If you wish to stop them, you can update your preferences on My Virgin Media.  However, so that we can reassure you, I would like to take a closer look on your behalf.  I am going to send you a private message.  Please look out for the purple envelope in the top right of your screen.
