Can't switch off web safe. .

Same here except I’m using Safari.  I never knowingly switched it on and now can't switch it off.  Keep getting sent back to the original page.  Perfectly fine websites that opened yesterday are now not opening.

Eventually I contacted Virgin media directly and after a few false starts, their agent switched it off for me.

As far as I was concerned, it impossible to do so unaided. 

I asked that the propblem be flagged up and rectified.  Both the switching on without any notice, followed by the difficulty in switching it.

It is handy to know the Child Safe is a DNS based content filter.

Changing the computer to use a Public DNS like Google DNS / OpenDNS bypasses Child Safe & Virus Safe.
