Potential scam call

We got a call which we think was a scam so we hung up.,,

Real person with an Indian accent, saying they were calling from Virgin and that our internet would be cut off in 24 hours as there had been illegal activity hijacking our signal.

My husband responded saying it sounded like a scam and he would contact Virgin directly, and hung up.

The number given via 1471 was 03912989022.

Should we report this to Action Fraud if it didn't go any further than this?

Re: Potential scam call

Certainly a scam as no reputable business would operate in this threatening manner.

Consider the following to help determine whether further action is required.

Vishing is when fraudsters obtain personal details of a victim by phone.

Fraudsters can go on to use this personal information to commit fraud.

If fraud has been committed, report it to Action Fraud.
