Possible scam number

Could somebody please confirm if

0800 1836xxx is actually the Virgin sales team number?

If it's not, then someone knows a lot more than they should about customers that have recently looked at virgin media deals.

I took the next call that came.

They seemed legit', didn't try for any personal info that they didn't already have, or try to sell of anything.

The downside for virgin is that if you do a number search on google there are many complaints because of the message given if you call back.

Hi Nat

The guy I spoke to only asked which package I was looking at.

When I told him that it was just the essentials pack and that BT were offering double the data for £2:50 more, he told me that he couldn't match that and politely ended the call.
