I had VM cable laid over a month ago. Most of the cable lenght had been laid in turf and tarmac and it is covered and secured. However they left about 600-70mm long cable exposed and unsecured with no conduit and trunking, sticking out above the ground. As aresult it has been cut while hedge trimming. My services are disconnexted. I have just complained to VM over txt msg and they told me i have to pay £99 because I havent reported it earlier.
I am appalled that VM put a responsibility of quality assurance back on me! Surely VM are not allowed leaving cable exposed to public and installation company must be responsible for non compliant and unsafe installation.
