Old @virgin.net email being reused

Reported this a couple of months ago as I no longer have a Virgin account and haven't for several years now. But I am still getting hacked emails, not spoofs, from this email address by criminals selling or suggesting investments. The usual rubbish.

According to mailtester.com the email address is still active as below. I've reported this to support several times but its still active. I'm getting desperate can anyone help in getting my .net email deleted please ?

Mail server found for domain:
- mx.tb.ukmail.iss.as9143.net (priority 1, ip address: 212.54.56.11)

Mailserver identification:
mx1.tb.ukmail.iss.as9143.net mx1.tb.ukmail.iss.as9143.net ESMTP server ready

E-mail address is valid

Re: Old @virgin.net email being reused

I have a near identical issue.

How do you contact support regarding email?  I can find nothing on the Virgin Media site.
