We do not use the landline very much (mainly for incoming) and I have not noticed and my partner has not said. I will ask.
As I said, I will cancel the appointment if these calls stop.

Please do keep us informed how things go.
We are having fewer calls of this type so hopefully it will die away. I will cancel the engineer's visit. I can always request one later if the problem persists.
